Mr. Garbar engages in litigation in state and federal courts. His practice focuses on employment discrimination, sexual harassment, wrongful termination, restrictive covenant litigation, business law, commercial litigation, securities violations and contract negotiation, on behalf of both employees and corporations. Mr. Garbar also provides counsel to employers and employees in the negotiation of employment termination agreements and assists employers in the formulation and implementation of employment policies, including employee handbooks.

Mr. Garbar is admitted to practice in New Jersey, New York and Florida. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Courts for the District of New Jersey, the Southern, Eastern and Western Districts of New York, the New York State Courts, and the Second Circuit Court of Appeals.

Mr. Garbar has maintained his own employment law practice, as a sole practitioner and as a partner, and has defended the City of New York in labor and employment matters, as well as against unlawful arrests concerning mass litigation which stemmed from the 2004 Republican National Convention. Mr. Garbar has given seminars to many business groups, as well as to various private organizations including the National Organization for Women, on multiple employment law related topics, including discrimination, sexual harassment and wrongful termination. Mr. Garbar speaks weekly on various legal topics at Business Networking International in Paramus, New Jersey. The Community News published an editorial he wrote, "Parties could lead to a headache," on November 19, 2008.

Mr. Garbar received his J.D. from Nova Southeastern University and his B.S. in Accounting, cum laude, from Long Island University.
