Joseph A. Maurice, Esq. is representing Si-Nae Shim on criminal charges related to a custody matter.  She is being accused of interfering with her estranged husband’s right of access to their two children.  The children are in South Korea where the couple had moved.  Alejandro Mendoza, the father, is being investigated on allegations of child abuse in South Korea. He responded to the allegations by fleeing to the United States and filing a divorce action in New Jersey.  Mendoza is a U.S. citizen, while Si-Nae Shim has a green card.  She was taken into custody in Guam . He appeared on WABC News on May 28 during coverage of the court proceedings.
