Does a contract have to be written to be enforceable?

  • Not all contracts or agreements have to be written in order to be enforceable.
  • Sometimes an oral agreement can be just as enforceable as a document that is written on paper and signed by the parties.
  • If an oral agreement specifies what the parties have to do and each of the parties engage in the agreement, it can be enforceable.
